What Inspired Her
Inspiration to Started Writing Journey
When Kiraya approached 60 years old, she remembered a promise she had made to herself when she was in grade school, about writing the story HAMMY about her hamster, Hammy, and her sister’s Siamese cat.
It was worth sharing with the world. That led her to take writing classes, join Western Washington’s Society of Children’s Writers and Illustrators, and critique groups.
Kiraya wrote an autobiography about when she was just 3 to 4 years old called REMEMBERING ME. It was about remembering her childhood and when she first found out that she liked to draw. She also wrote and illustrated a second children’s book called SIX WHITE GEESE about her two daughters trying to tame six white geese on their nursery and tree farm. Now she has written her first novel called DREAMING INSIDE OUT. It is about her search for what she believed and how God worked in her life by asking about her dreams and journaling the results. She has published a short story and three poems in A Course In Miracles magazine.
